JOIN A COMMITTEE

Committees help guide chapter planning, programming, and engagement. If you enjoy working behind the scenes or supporting strategic initiatives, committee service is a great fit.

Our Committees:

  • By-Laws - Reviews amendment recommendations
  • Archives & Awards - Compile, preserve, and document Chapter history
  • Audit - Audit treasurer accounts, certify accuracy
  • Budget & Finance - Develop budget, oversee Association finances
  • Communications – Chapter messaging, digital media, and engagement
  • Events – Plan programs, celebrations, and chapter activities
  • Fundraising - Plan and execute chapter fundraising activities
  • Legislative - Monitor legislation affecting the University's interests
  • Nominating - Prepare ballots, supervise officer elections
  • Membership - Recruit and welcome new members
  • Recruitment - Support the university’s recruitment efforts in the area
  • Scholarship Review – Review applications and support fundraising
  • Scholarship Dance - Plan the annual event

Every year, the NOVA Chapter provides financial assistance to deserving VSU students from the Northern Virginia area (Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Fairfax City, Prince William, Falls Church and Loudoun counties). Your contribution helps ensure their success.

ATTEND EVENTS

Connect with fellow alumni, support chapter initiatives, and have fun. Our events range from community service days to social gatherings, professional development sessions, and fundraising activities.

Chapter meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month via Zoom or in person at Minnie H. Peyton Community Center at Bailey’s (Bailey’s Community Center) - 5920 Summers Lane, Falls Church, VA 22041
